PreK: In the first parent-teacher conference of the year, our son’s teacher shared that he already exceeded what he will learn in PreK, and noted that he is socially well adjusted.

2. The traditional education system worked for me, but I’ve also forged an unconventional life and career:

  • Graduated from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University
  • Completed my M.A. at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University
  • Earned the following rigorous professional qualifications:
    • Series 7 and 63 licenses,
    • Six Sigma Green Belt,
    • Federal Reserve Commissioned Examiner (Safety and Soundness),
    • DYL design thinking facilitator

Now, I am a leading industry expert on FinTech (financial technology), a career path that did not exist 10 years ago, and I am a working parent advocate for supplemental learning for kids.

Proudest achievement
My proudest moment to date is reaching financial independence in the dumpster fire of a year that was 2020. It was a decade long uphill climb out of two rounds of student debt that involved living in a 394 square foot studio with my now husband for six years, being laser intentional about spending, and making the most of the great opportunities only NYC can engineer. Ask me about it – I always want people to reach FI!

I won a gap year scholarship to study in Germany that was fully funded by the U.S. Congress and the German Bundestag – despite not knowing a single word of German. It was a life-altering experience that continues to influence my decisions today.

I learned to swim the summer that Michael Phelps won his eighth gold medal. I was definitely over 25 years old when this happened. My latest certification from October 2022 is in design thinking – I can help you get unstuck!
